Acting ...to make a difference

We demonstrate our liberal religious values through effective social action, providing leadership and creating partnerships in the local community and beyond.

There are many opportunities for social action at UUSM. Most of the work occurs in collaboration with other groups, such as Habitat For Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank or Homework Central, just to name a few.

Members who are active in these other groups bring the organization and its activities to UUSM, and help bring participants from our congregation to the organization's projects and events, many of which occur right here.

To connect with our wider movement, please check out the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, or plan to attend Pacific Central District (regional) and/or a Unitarian Universalist Association (national) conference.

It is the spirit and not the form of law that keeps justice alive.
