How can there be a religion without a creed? |
|
Historically, we were a
Christian tradition. We have now evolved to no longer be exclusively Christian.
We feel that many people in this post-modern age would be thrilled to learn of
our historically-grounded tradition which is open to a person’s beliefs
evolving and changing. We think this is what many people mean when they say,
“We are spiritual, but not religious.” We feel people are yearning for a
community where they can bring all of themselves: their questions, their hopes,
their brokenness and their beauty…and be authentically spiritual.
We believe personal
experience, conscience and reason should be the final authorities in religion,
and that in the end, religious authority lies not in a book or person or
institution, but in ourselves. |
