Lay Chaplains receive extensive training in preparation for this form of lay ministry.
They offer careful and confidential listening, emotional support and
practical information about community services that may be appropriate for special needs.
Lay Chaplains will be able to bring “traveling church” to the bedside,
and will be the bearers of a special chalice (made by UUSM member Tom McCune)
as well as resources for inspiration, healing, and prayer.
If you or someone you know within our community would benefit from
a visit with a Lay Chaplain, please contact one of our Caring Ministries
Coordinators,
