Religious Education Council
The Religious Education (RE) Council is comprised of people who are dedicated to the spiritual development of children and youth. The RE Council has several important functions
- to create a vision for the program
- to develop relevant policy
- to welcome visiting families
- to approve program curricula, program budget and major expenses, and
- to advocate for Religious Education and the inclusion of children and youth within the Congregation at large
Special events include
- Children’s Holiday Service
- Mystery Friends
- Sundae Sunday
- Easter Egg Hunt
- RE Appreciation Luncheon
We are focusing our efforts this year on
- Welcoming new families
- Integrating RE administration and programs with rest of community
- Strengthening communication between Religious Education and RE families as well as the entire UUSM community
- Developing leadership within Religious Education
